評(píng)價(jià)

美國(guó)一直是足球運(yùn)動(dòng)的處女地，把世界杯主辦權(quán)交到他們手里似乎是個(gè)錯(cuò)誤的選擇，主題曲也變得黯淡。這首“榮耀之地”雖然有個(gè)響亮的名字，但是英雄主義色彩在這首歌中蕩然無(wú)存。

“榮耀之地”在音樂(lè)風(fēng)格上更接近于民謠與流行搖滾樂(lè)的結(jié)合，很有些美國(guó)西部荒原的蒼茫感。1994年作者兼主唱達(dá)利爾創(chuàng)作了此歌，并邀請(qǐng)福音曲演唱組合“黑暗之聲”(Sounds of blackness)協(xié)助錄制。由于作品缺乏對(duì)足球運(yùn)動(dòng)的共鳴，很快淹沒(méi)在人們的記憶之中。1994年的世界杯合輯中收錄的其他大牌藝人的作品倒是要比主題曲精彩得多。
